Richard Chaffoo, MD, FACS, FICS, a San Diego plastic surgeon, performs liposuction, breast augmentation, face lift and many other procedures for his patients. Richard Chaffoo began his education with a BA in chemistry, awarded summa cum laude, from Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina. He earned his MD from Wake Forest University in North Carolina. He joined the U.S. Navy as a medical officer and performed an internship and residency in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia.

After his service in the Navy and his fellowship training at Stanford and UC San Diego, he continued on to complete a Plastic Surgery residency at Oregon Health and Sciences University.

Along with his triple board certified status, Dr. Chaffoo is an active member of many medical societies including the San Diego Plastic Surgery Society and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons.

Today, practicing plastic surgery in the San Diego area with offices in La Jolla and Temecula, Dr. Chaffoo is committed to striking the right balance between innovation and traditional, “tried and true” techniques.
