    About Indiana Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Gustavo Galante
    Dr. Galante enjoys working with his     cosmetic surgery patients in Northern Indiana.     About Dr. Galante
    Raised in Northwest Indiana, Dr. Gus Galante began his education at Wabash College, graduating summa cum laude. He attended medical school at the Indiana University School of Medicine where he was chosen to join the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society in light of his excellent academic record. Dr. Galante served his general surgery residency at the Loyola University Medical Center and decided to specialize in plastic surgery as this field manages a variety of reconstructive problems on all parts of the body and treats, men, women, and children of all age groups. In addition, the field of medicine in general combined his love for science with a deep appreciation for the humanities.

    After completing his plastic surgery residency at Loyola, Dr. Galante relocated to Nashville, Tennessee to undergo additional fellowship training in reconstructive breast surgery and aesthetic surgery at the Institute for Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Galante then returned home to Northwest Indiana to open his private practice. He appreciates living close to a city as vibrant as Chicago while enjoying the more peaceful, relaxed setting of Northern Indiana. Moreover, Dr. Galante said, "Much of my family is here, and my wife's family too. We really never thought seriously about living anywhere else."

    Dr. Galante describes the key to his success with his patients in this way: "It's really all about education. In order for a patient to feel pleased and satisfied with their results, their expectations have to be realistic. And to have an accurate view of what's possible, patients need to learn what plastic surgery can and can't do for them." Dr. Galante explained, "That's how we view our responsibility here in my practice. Along with privacy, support and a warm relationship, when patients come here, they can expect to learn what they need to know to make informed decisions."

    Testaments to their success in achieving this goal are the many enthusiastic comments from patients who describe the surgeon and his staff as attentive, compassionate and honest.
